An open group means that it is an ongoing group with new people coming and going on a regular basis. A closed group has a fixed number of members, where everyone joins at the same time, and a set duration with specified amount of sessions
Group sessions vary greatly depending on the type of group and its purpose. We offer: psychoeducational (structured) groups focused on growth through knowledge; counseling (or processing) group that emphasize improvement of interpersonal relationships and the intrapersonal growth of members; and a combination of the two
Most groups have between 5-10 members and 1-2 facilitators. This can vary based on the type of group and sign up.
Group facilitators guide and facilitate self-exploration, give feedback and support, provide comments on interpersonal issues in the group, and encourage group cohesion.
